چکیده

Terahertz (THz) filters and detectors can find a wide application in such fields as: sensing, imaging, security systems, medicine, wireless connection, detection of substances. Thermoelectric materials are promising basis for THz detectors’ development due to their sensitivity the radiation, possibility be heated under radiation produce voltage Seebeck effect. thin films Bi-Sb solid solutions semimetals/semiconductors with band gap comparable energy high thermoelectric conversion efficiency at room temperature. Detecting film surface transformed into periodic frequency selective (FSS) that operate as filter increases absorption radiation. We report first time about simulation detector based on thin-filmed frequency-selective surface. show structure both filter. Moreover, it was shown FSS design not only heating but temperature gradient by two orders magnitude comparison continuous films. Local gradients reach values order 100 K·mm−1. That opens new perspectives increase. Temperature difference formed 1 degree. Frequency-transient calculations power dependence characteristic saturation times around several ms. points perspective reaching fast response structures.

Growth of thin Bi films on Wð110Þ

We report on the growth of single crystalline epitaxial Bi films on W(1 1 0). X-ray photoelectron diffraction (XPD) and low energy electron diffraction (LEED) reveal that Bi grows well ordered in the pseudocubic (0 0 1) orientation. The two-fold symmetric W(1 1 0) surface supports four different Bi(0 0 1) domains. The multi-domain nature is unambigously detected via LEED showing a peculiar spli...

a study on thermodynamic models for simulation of 1,3 butadiene purification columns

attempts have been made to study the thermodynamic behavior of 1,3 butadiene purification columns with the aim of retrofitting those columns to more energy efficient separation schemes. 1,3 butadiene is purified in two columns in series through being separated from methyl acetylene and 1,2 butadiene in the first and second column respectively. comparisons have been made among different therm...

Optimization of Sensitivity and Stability of Gold/Silver bi-Layer Thin Films Used in Surface Plasmon Resonance Chips

The aim of this study is experimental assay of sensitivity and stability of a bimetallic silver/gold SPR sensor chip. This chip utilizes the sensitivity of the silver and the stability of the gold. Moreover, the Silver layer (instead of usual Cr or Ti layer) was used as an adhesive intermediate layer between the Gold layer and the glass substrate. The optimization of the Gold/Silver thickness u...
